Oscar in salvo: raggiunto l’accordo fra sceneggiatori e case di produzione…

Grazie alla solidarietà di molti attori, sono giunte al termine le trattative degli sceneggiatori

Dopo tre mesi di scioperi che hanno paralizzato la produzione cinematografica e televisiva, sembra che i rappresentanti degli sceneggiatori di Hollywood abbiano trovato un accordo con le case di produzione e i networks televisivi. L’accordo dovrebbe essere ratificato alla fine della settimana in modo tale da consentire la cerimonia deglio Oscar il prossimo 24 febbraio.

Sulla felice conclusione delle trattative ha pesato anche la posizione di solidarietà di molte star dello spettacolo, come George Clooney ed Eva Longoria, a favore delle rivendicazioni degli autori. Quindi i patiti dei tappeti rossi ora possono tirare un sospiro di sollievo: l’Oscar si farà.

SAG Awards 2008, i vincitori…

Si è svolta domenica sera allo Shrine Exposition Center di Los Angeles la serata di gala della 14a edizione degli Screen Actors Guild Awards, i premi assegnati annualmente dalla Screen Actors Guild (SAG) per premiare le prestazioni dell’ultimo anno dei propri membri.

I SAG Awards sono tra i premi principali di Hollywood dal 1995; le nomination vengono decise da 4.200 membri del sindacato degli attori scelti casualmente,

mentre tutti i 120.000 soci votano per eleggere i vincitori di ogni categoria, che ricevono come premio una

statua chiamata “The Actor”.
Pronostici in gran parte rispettati nella sezione Cinema, dove hanno vinto Daniel Day-Lewis (per “Il petroliere”) e Javier Bardem (per “Non è un paese per vecchi” dei fratelli Coen). Nella sezione TV dominio della serie I

Soprano, che si aggiudicano i premi per i migliori attori protagonisti (James Gandolfini e Edie Falco) e per il cast, e della sit-com 30 Rock, con premi per Alec Baldwin e Tina Fey.

Lo sciopero dei WGA fa annullare i Golden Globe…

Nulla di fatto. Per la prima volta dopo decenni di premiazioni, la cerimonia dei Golden Globe non avrà luogo. Lo show, che sarebbe dovuto andare in onda in diretta sulla NBC nella notte del 13 gennaio, è stato annullato a causa dello sciopero degli sceneggiatori e, fatto ancora più determinante, a causa del sostegno che gli attori e la loro associazione, la SAG, hanno dimostrato nei confronti della WGA, declinando in massa l’invito a presentarsi sul red carpet. La notizia è ufficiale. Nessuno dei circa 70 attori invitati alla serata ha intenzione di superare il picchetto, quindi alla Hollywood Foreign Press Association non resta altro che organizzare una sobria conferenza stampa durante la quale annunciare i vincitori, senza star, senza presentatori e senza statuette. Nel frattempo, contrariamente a quanto vi avevamo annunciato qualche giorno fa, le negoziazioni tra il sindacato degli sceneggiatori e la AMPTP non accennano a ricominciare. Tutto è fermo dallo scorso 7 dicembre, ma si fa sempre più concreta la possibilità che la WGA intraprenda delle trattative dirette con le singole case di produzione, aggirando in questo modo la AMPTP. Questo sistema ha già funzionato con la Worldwide Pants, casa di produzione del Late Show with David Latterman, ritornato in onda con il suo staff di sceneggiatori.

I due attori (tra i miei preferiti tra l’altro :P) ringraziano chi li ha votati e i loro devoti fan che continuano a seguirli anno dopo anno…Jared dice anche che per lui i Teen Choice Awards sono molti importanti perché quando era alle superiori fu preso a presentare uno dei premi, e proprio lì incontrò il suo manager di tuttora!
